How big is your blue tang and if its getting chased everywhere with no place for it to hide, it'll prob be very stressed. And stressed fishes develope sickness easily. Get the blue tang out into a holding betta cage, let them get used to each other abit. Might work, might not. Another way is to do some rearrangement of scaping...might reduce the aggression a little. But in your small tank prob won't work. Monitor the blue and if its obviously stressed, do it a favour and remove it. Gd luck. :)

I believe u know abt the acclimatizing, the drip... then intro into the water method... so i wun mention on this aspect.

Ur tank is perhaps too small for ur tangs? Well, i suggest u place the tiny blue tang in a betta box / mesh box (thats like protection). Also keep ur lights off for a day. once the big brown tang got used to the little fella's presence, u can release it out.

(Or maybe u should turn off ur wave-maker for the time being? j/k)

Good luck in keeping blue tangs! do note that blue tangs esp., have a type of "play-dead" characteristic, dun get confused by it. Do keep us updated on the blue tang ya?

hi bro, my suggestions:

put a betta into ur tank with ur blue tang in it. Make sure its feeding before adding into the main tank. this method will let the brown tang to get used to the blue tang.

And i read thru ur posts and seems that you are an impatience person...please read all past threads before making any purchase.

:D

this is a situation where "shoot first, ask questions later" comes in...

haha... well well, better to remove your BT into a separate tank, alone. get it feeding again. if it gets too stressed up, it will totally not eat, and you can say BB to the BT again... your second BT...

and what did we say bout keeping your brown tang? too big. no good.

oh, btw, i had 2 tiny BTs, and one of them got so bullied by the other BT, even after changing to a separate tank, it stopped eating. passed away after a week.

so dont underestimate tangs.

and please la bro. READ UP BEFORE YOU GET ANYTHING. AND SLOW DOWN. when we say slow down, you dont slow down from 1 fish a day to 1 fish in 3 days. you slow down to a rate of 1 fish a month. you wanna waste money, juz buy something for me.
