I don't think your anemone eats anything thats alive.. people usually make such assumptions.

We wake up to see our crab eating our LSs and say why did it do that. But in many cases, its not what it seem to be. Maybe your LS is already dead to begin with. so that crab, starfish or anemone just took its opportunity to finally climb on it and eat it.

I can't deny that some crabs do catch fishes but usually only catch something much smaller..

And what are the odds of a starfish or anemone eating a Live fish??

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

"Its easier to blame the 'mantis' or crabs in the tank for missing & dead livestocks.."

My fire jumped out & plunged about a meter to the

ground. Didn't do well after putting back in tank.

Next day found my banded bead anemone(from beach)

extended veri long & fire no where to be seen.

Next day, saw anemone spitting it out in slow motion.

Can't take the sight(or the waiting time) so use

chopstick pull the remains out & dumped it.

:sick::sick::sick:

Jem's Tip Of The Day:

becareful not to pull things out or irritate the anemone's mouth..

the anemone's mouth is one of the most delicate part of its body..

you have a high chance of hurting it by doing so

Maybe the fish was injured or already dead when the anemone decided to make a meal out of it. Have not heard of any instances here of anemones eating clowns....

IMO, i think feeding our anemones everyday with prawn is safer.

probably your maroon is dead, therefore the anemone decide to make a meal out of it.
