1) Depending how long the PL light tube you wanna buy and how many watts. for a rough guide - a 2-feet PL tube (55watt; white/blue) = $20.

2) Which LFS in the west sells PL tubes, I m not sure, but in my opinion, most of them should carry some stock. Just ask.
