help how to feed this fish

Since is a slow swimmer and eater, any advise how can i feed him since i have fast swimmer fishes like, royal grammar, clown fish, damsel etc

Try target feeding with a pipette or syringe if you are not having a species tank... They normally will recognize the pipette or syringe that feed them...

Or you can flood your tank so he can get some bit and pieces if your skimmer can take it...

My boxfish likes to stay at the top of the tank, what i do is put the food right in front of him, so no matter how fast the other are, he'll get the first bite....

My box fish also stay on top of the tank, guess i will feed directly to it and hopefully he can get as much as possible before other fishes grab it. Thanks.

No prob...its a really amazing fish...closest to a PET you'll ever experience with any kind of marine fishes....

agree, a very cute pet to me, i love it very much the first day i got it. Sometime, i even think of getting another tank solely for box fish.

It rarely happens in our tank... They are too small to excrete enough to kill the LS in our tank...

Thats true....mine never did poison anything. Oh, heard that they are not 100% reef safe...so you'll have to take your chance...

I think box fish come in many species, the small one should be ok, mine don't disturb any of my corals nor invertebrates. I love box fish character, a very unique one.

Since is a slow eater, during feeding time, i actually take a small plastic cup and put it inside , the wonderful thing is that it seem to know that i'm doing it for his own good. I put some brimp shrimp in it and he started to feed on it, after a while, i released it from the cup, and it started to swim happily again.

Wat i do is i train the fish to take food from a satay stick. HAHA!

hihi, i'm new to tis hobby and i find box fish r simply so cute...

but may i ask if my tank is abt 45cm x 20 cm x 25 cm... is it suitable for me to have box fish??
