SRC Member lyz77 Posted March 3, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted March 3, 2006 Juz chg my DI cartridge as the TDS reading hit 20ppm. While pouring out the resin, I notice 1/3 of the resin is still yellow, which means that it still can be use! Lesson learn, sccop up the black resin and refill with new one! That may save a bit on the usage of the resin!
bloodlamb
My system has two housing. The first is for carbon and wool, the DI is in second. What I do now is to use 2 DI cartridges instead. The first housing is a older DI cartridge and the second one a new one. Use low flow to maximise contact time. When TDS no longer read zero I throw away cartridge in housing 1, put cartridge in housing 2 into housing 1 and put a new cartridge into housing 2. This way I seem to maximise the DI cause it looks completly green. I think the key is be patient and use low flow.
