Suddenly I thought of something...if i had the $$...maybe I would buy 10 of those fake clams and put them in a 2 feet tank...then take a pic n post here

Then say..look! I have kept these clams under normal FL tubes for 2 years already. HAHAhahaa...:angel:

Always something more important than fish.

Yea...should keep fake sps too... save the reefs! 'Corals belong in the ocean..and not in our homes...' People who tune in to animal planet should find this phrase very familiar.

exactly got such sentiments when I was viewing a DVD on great barrier reef..

well.. I was quite guilty conscious.. before I sort of doze off with the soothin

music from the show..

tat dvd cannot be view again.. haha..!

btw metal, your polyps seem not opening. maybe u like to place them on top of some LR, nearer to the surface to get more light.

well i wander why.. i read that polyps are related to sea fans.. and they would open up and feed especially at night.. so i wander why my polyps and sea fan they closes when i on the light.. i think its normal the sea fan and polyps are with me for 2 weeks plus only.. so i am still monitoring..

but now it seems that they just open up when i on the light and when off the remain open and then closes.. well for my sea fan.. when i put in my fish food grind pellets they just open up.. wander why.. maybe in the flakes is shrimp..

my temperature is around 27 degrees like that in the normal day.. but at night it falls to 25 degrees..

and i dun have fan etc. i never do anything to cool down the water.. maybe my tank is near the air con..

I believe people here are out to help one another.

False info with fake setup will only confuse the newbies

too many of these "wolf is coming" stories will not have happy endings... :(

Personally I think it's not funny to "see how others react".

:peace:

well i am sorry to make that stupid talking.. anyway.. as we should know we had been newbies too.. everybody been newbies..

and as newbies.. they will experience, get cheated, etc.

what i should say in this marine aquarium thing.. i learned so much in here.. from all gurus and reefers here..

newbies should ask help and opinions..

and also b4 going for this hobby must have in mind what they want..

what type of fish

for fish..

their eating habits, the water condition, hardy or sensitive etc.

and same goes for corals all...

for me i always had done research b4 buying mushroom all and with my type of fl lighting i only know i could keep low light requirement corals...

thinking of putting a suncoral though but still have not got it and have not seen any..

Hi, Metals99,

I would like to suggest that please DON'T try suncoral in a small tank. Simply because the water volumn is too small to handle the increase in bio-load cause by the food that needed to keep the suncoral healthy.

My 2 ft tank has a serious cyano outbreak due to feeding of suncoral. It forced me to stop feeding it and the suncoral poly is receding daily and end up some polys is died. Now I have added a 2 ft macro-algae refugium and I am more confident to feed suncoral without degrading my water parameter. :peace:
