How to get rid of them? or are they good for eating up waste?

Its probably a hitchhiker. Not to worry much, these type of inverterbrates are mostly scavengers. They go around eating unfinished food in ur tank. Pretty much a cleaning crew.

cant find them now, only in pitch darkness using a led touchlight then can find them amongst the rocks

These crabs are probably rather harmless. But if they get bigger, they might pose harm to fishes like fire goby which always hides in holes while resting.. so they might fall prey to these crabs.

There's an effective way to catch these crabs using Brands bottle if you want to rid of them...

Just place a bait in the bottle and leave it overnite in places where the crab frequent. U will have several of these crabs in the bottle the next morning
