Btw, here's a rare shot of my tank, top view of the left portion. Love the Frogspawn very much (the only coral that fluorence green a bit under my 14000ºK MH).

Bro Terryz, the Hammer and Rhodactis you sold me are looking healthy... I will take great care of all my LS :lol:

Just to update u guys... my Blue Sea Fan is still surviving... fed them Zooplankton and Cyclop-Eeze just now. Will feed another round later tonight. I target feed them every 2 days.

Guys I am going SPS in a few days time... a bro will sell me 4 small and colourful frags... do I need to do any preparations prior to that day?

My parameters are as follow:

Sg - 1.021

Temp - 26.5ºC to 28ºC

pH - 8.2

KH - 9.9

Alk - 3.54

Ammonia - 0

Nitrite - 0

Nitrate - 2

Phosphate - 0

Calcium - 430

Lighting duration - 3pm to 12.30am (9 1/2 hours)

In terms of location, I will place all 4 frags at the top tier of my tank to get strong current and closer to my MH. See pix :)

Welcome your advise on how I can prepare a perfect environment for my new frags :thanks: in advance!

your water parameters seem ok :rolleyes:

try to raise your sg to 1.025-1.026

and what is your mg level? for mg, try to keep within 1200-1350ppm

all the best for your try out :)

Oh such high sg? Is it normal? I can try... but need to raise real slow.

Mg? hehe... still waiting for my Mg test kit to be delivered (coming Mon/Tue). But I've been dosing a tiny amount of KM Essential Elements into my tank twice weekly. Do you think I should get a dedicated dosage of Magnesium? Is there such a product?

when you got your test kit, test it and then you will know if you need to add anymore mg supplement or not :) tropic marine Mg is good. it can easily raise you mg.

yes, raise you sg slowly to 1.025-1.026 :)

The single moonlight LED is shining on the 2 clams at night... do you guys think I should keep the clams in the dark? Or it's ok :heh:

Yeah it's quite a strong LED that comes with the Tunze Multicontroller... ok I will relocate it to somewhere else... perhaps shining on LR instead.

Ok guys... here's my pathetic looking Orange Sun Coral (aka Orange Sponge)... I positioned it quite high up, but slightly shadowed by the vertical LRs... water current there is medium to strong (as recommended by LiveAquaria)... been there for 5 days. Do I wait a while longer or start looking for a new location for it?
