golden trevally aka pilotfish

any experience with these ? just went to IWARNA with my mum .. she bought me 3 of these .. plus a cauliflower tree, star polyp and a toadstool leather i love my mum although... when she wants something .. she can be quite stubborn ... like with the trevallies ... are they reef safe ?

trevallies grow very & i mean very very fast......

they grow too fast to be kept in our tanks...

omg ... the lady boss at iwarna said it would be ok ... hmm liddat how ? when it gets big ... dun think anyone would adopt .. think mebbe i will give to underwater world if they accept ... if not ... anyone got good recipe ?? lol

but is it reef safe ? will it eat corals ? soft corals ?

it doesnt eat corals etc but will rush ard n look for food... even sand, sml stones will be swallowed n sometimes in its "kan cheong" rush , will knock over rocks n lrs.thats all... cook with assam not bad but prob is our tank water maybe nitrates too hi so best to release lah when it gets too big

hrm...dunno hear frm where before...that anglers like to fish for GTs...give them some kick..hahaha...fish always go well steamed...while at least most species..hahaha

these fishes will grow extremely fast. if your tank isnt big enough, best to find someone to adopt them ASAP! cheers!
