Artica is highly recommended but they are quite expensive. I have had two Resun's - CL 450 and CO 500, and I have been happy with both. I think that value for money the Resun is very good (can but 3-4 Resuns for the price of 1 Artica).

Real reefs don't have glass bottoms....(...think about it)

i think you can just give us tank size how much wattage of pumps and what lighting you are using.

i think with such info we can help with recommending you something.

btw i'm running a 5x2x2 w 500W mh lights and i use a cl650 which is 1/4hp to maintain at 27-29degrees

so do provide us with the relevent info we'll help u out

3 x 3 x 2.5 cube tank.

4 x 2ft T5

1 x 400W MH

2 x OR6500

2 X OR2500

1 x AT306 (Atman)

Is Artica more lasting then Reco and resun. In terms of power comsuption and noise level, which is better? I notice that getting a Artica can get 4 resun chiller!

:thanks:

frankly a cl650 would be pretty good for your tank

of course u pay for what u get...artica deifinitely better than resun

but...i beleive many reefers using resun would tell you that resun is up to the job of cooling our tanks for most of us.

the resun i using that i got from AM is very quiet and power consumption interms of bill per mth is 10bucks. that's for 45mins kick in and 1.5hrs off.

gd luck

why don't you do a search for the reviews on resun and artica chillers in the equipment section?

decide for yourself after reading the reviews and which chiller is within your budget.

I heard lots of good comment for Artica. But I'm trying to weight in terms of performance and price between resun and Artica.

Getting 1 Artica is equivlent to 4 resun! Is Artica really worth the price in terms of performance and technical support. There's quite a no. of review for resun but not Artica which I suppose, due to it high cost!!!

Hw abt Teco, any comment? Let say if I send the chiller for servicing, is there a loan unit? Is it dependent on the LFS or the manufacturer to decide for the loan set? ;)

I just got my Teco RA240 today... well not very pretty I must say. I haven't connect it to the tank yet as I bought the wrong rubber tube. But I did on the machine and the noise it emits is kinda loud (for my standard). Could it be because no water? Could it be the startup which will create more noise? I really can't tell yet.

Will keep you update tomorrow night.

The chiller has been running for 3 days now, still haven't get used to the noise it emits, lol. I find it quite efficient for a 24g tank. Will probably adding a 10g sump to my setup soon, so will let you guys know if the Teco RA240 still works flawlessly in a 34g setup.

Hrmz, where will you be putting the sump? Just abit curious how a sump can be added to a nano system w/o it looking "out-of-place". :) Get a custom built cabinet? Nvm, this is :off: ... hehe, shan't mess up lzy's thread..... :peace:

Yalor :off:

You will see.... hehehe
