one of the reason might be malnutrition eg:calcium not enough

2x1.5x1.5 tank

Lighting: AI hydra 52HD

Skimmer: Deltec SC 1455

Reactor: Minimax; rowaphos

Skimz  ; NP biopellets

Wave Maker: MP 40 WQD

Return pump: Eheim 1262

Chiller: Arctica 1/10 hp

Hrmz, might be due to several reasons, one of them being having a low calcium level, but its seems not in your case. Have you just started your tank? Give it some time and you'll be able to see it grow. :)

Only ard 2mths old. Very low stock as I got budget contraint on those equipments.

bro wat light u using cause myine not enough lighting , then there slowly ddies and rock also turn white ;)

I have 4x2ft T5 and 1x400W MH. As I dun hv chiller, I only on the T5 as I cooling my tank using fan which only manage to keep the temp to ard 29 deg! :cry:

Coralline algae prefer a moderately lit environment with calcium concentration of about 400 - 440 mg/l, and a KH of above 7dkh.

Coralline algae do not respond well to phosphates and nitrates. It will prevent or stun algae growth.Phosphates and nitrates should be low.

Best results can be expected at a magnesium concentration of 1400 mg/l Magnesium can be the cause for stunned growth if all the other parameters check out fine.
