What shld I do if my Nitrate or Ammonia Level up

i bought frm c0ol the complete set up of his 1.5ft nano tank incld live rocks, some corals, two jebo lights, protein skimmer, marine salt and two atman pumps for $80. He is very nice chap and gives alot of guidance & patience. He taught me alot abt marine stuff....good seller :D

i use natural seawater....no nid cycle the tank...i wanted to buy the test kit frm them but they stopped me...they said no nid to buy...unless u r expert den buy the test kit... :rolleyes:

<_< what an advsie from the LFS, i think its best and the app ways is to check ur water parameters and salinty level even though u uses NSW.

My opion, let ur tank cycle and check all ur water parameters before adding any stocks in it. Go through the cycling period, put in stocks after u check all the key elements like ammonia, No2 and PH. Once stablise, then u go and visit fish stores...meanwhile, give away or sell away ur fishes if possible to avoid causalities...

always test NSW before pouring it

into your tank ;)

I would like to know which LFS u visited too! :lol: Btw, agree with wil that as a permanent solution to your problem, you should just let your tank cycle and give it time. Oh, for a small tank, even after it is cycled, it not advisable to purchase and dump alot of fishes into it at one time. It might overload the system. Happy reefing! :)
