Light queries

Hi. Pls advise how long must the lights be on? ie, blue+white and blue alone?

I have a 10gal tank, about 1ft deep and keeping some buttons and mushrooms.

Usually 9-12 hours.

Start it off at 8 hours per day...slowly increase to 10...then 12 hours.

Going at 12 hours per day for a new tank would surely lead to algae problems.

the blue is to simulate sunrise/sunset, thus gauge yourslef ..

Not using T5. Too ex... and i intend to invest in AquaC remora first. (water parameters more important, i think)

I have just convert a 2 ft FW tank to marine tank so the lights is just normal flouresent ones. Just that I changed the bulbs to "arcadia" marine white & blue bulbs.

actually blue bulbs is mainly for viewing pleasure leh.. and also to stimulate the reef type of lighting.. actually if u planning to keep buttons and mushrooms the lighting u say one white fl and one blue fl is good enough.. but not the best..
