Help on Protein Skimmer

hey dude,

maybe u would like to post some pic on ur setup to faciliate our assist to you.

and some questions, do u have a sump or just hang on?

just take note of the outlet of the skimmer, most likely it causes the micro bubbles...some reefers here have methods to reduce the bubbling. Maybe u can uses a sock or those cloth uses to extract coconut juices...hope u understand...:D

thanks bro...digital camera with dad at moment so can't post pics...anyway a short description...its a in sump model...ya the micro bubbles are coming out from the outlet...

thanks for the advice...will try asap...

just another question...will the micro bubbles cause any harm to the fishes etc stress and stuff???

no worries, it will not caused any harms to it...just that your tank is invaded with small bubbles which some reefers which don't like to see! :D

Maybe u can uses the search function to faciliate your solutions to these issue! IT REALLY HELPS just by pressing the SEARCH! :D

haha...but i dunno where which sub forum to start the search in...tahst why i decided to start a thread asking for help..

anyway thanks for the help...really appreciate it...

managed to fix a piece of filter wool to the outlet managed to cut it down by abit...but still exist...sigh..will have to try to find a mroe permenent solution to it...

I will try to place the skimmer outlet and my return pump inlet as far as possible so that the micro bubbles can be broken down by means of filter wool or baffle plates. Hope that helps.

;) yes thats the solution to these. It would be good that if you could post some pics on ur sump system, from there, we will be able to direct you easily.
