Some people feed bits of market prawn to their anemones, maybe frozen brine/mysis shrimps will do too. Im dosing Coral Food and marine snow for my corals once a while. Dun have to do it too often as corals can get their food from your fishes' leftover and stuff in the water column. Oh, u can try feeding cyclopeeze too. BTw, anemones need strong lighting! :)

hi there bro chercm,

anemones are primarily photosynthetic creatures, and they will need bright bright lightings of appropriate wavelengths. if the quality of lights provided is insufficient, feeding alone to make up for it will not sustain the anemone long term. furthermore, it will then continually move around your tank in search for an area with more light.

if you have a good lighting set-up, feeding maybe done more infrequently.

i am not suggesting that anemones dont capture prey items or feed per say, but there have been many instances of people sustaining growing anemones without ever feeding, but ive not ever heard of an anemone surviving solely on feedings without light, so in my opinion, the quality of lights provided is more crucial to anemones compared to feeding. anemones are also sensitive to fluxes in the water that surrounds them as a great proportion of their biomass is water that they absorb and expel as they expand or shrink, so nitrate levels must be kept as low as possible.
