Can Ice Mountain water be used to setup nano tank?

Yes its mineral water... check on the back of those bottled water where they state all the minerals and expiry dates... as long as everything in the table states 0% den its distilled water

There is those big tubs of POLAR brand water which are deionized and should be able to use for tank water. Those tubs that u see in hospital or some offices where they put it on top of a dispenser and have a hot and cold option with cone-shaped cups provided. Those are deionized water.

Hrmz, any idea where to get these de-ionized water? Can we order from the supplier or something?

i just made salt water with Ice mountain water ...

i think the only way out now is to do frequent water changes with the CORRECT type of distilled water .....

Yup... But do not do a huge water change for ur tank..... Do it gradually.... Mix a hige amount of water ... replace a fetcher ful of ur tank per day.... and observe what happen

Hey violet, think u can order from supplier. those that are supplying the dispensers and the water. Try to source around. I'm using tap water. No money to buy these water. But it should be quite affordable if i'm not wrong.

I tot some brands of bottled waters are "reverse osmosis" water?

Just drop by NTUC and head over to the drinks aisle and you should be able to find numerous brands distilled, R/O, and mineral water.

just my 2 cents, but i dun think its suitable to use mineral water brands like ICE MOUNTAIN. I am very new here, so i m not sure abt this. =)

ywng, im using just tap water now too...find it a hassle to buy RO water from the supermarket for the tank.....need quite an amount.

Mineral water is definately a nono though, unless you are looking to grow algae and nothing else in your tank...

violet, think you should try the tubs of POLAR. It's really huge man.Can't really remember how many litres. For nano tanks it should be quite worth it. Unless you have super duper high evaporation rate. Yeah mineral water cannot la so many things inside the water..

get NTUC brand distill water . didnt specifically say it is a distilled water . but pure drinking water with 0% everything behind. 6 dollars something for a carton .
