Erm...its actually meant to be for media like carbon or rowa and stuff like that. But if you have a sump or external cannister, adding the media in the sump/cannister would be better. The media basket is pretty small...cant hold that much.

but it is so small, do i have to break the pack ?

U mean break up the pack of carbon or rowa? Hrmz, i don't really know how the baket work but guess you'll have to break up the rowa/carbon into smaller quantities cause of the size restriction. By the way, rowa/carbon comes with a stocking like bag...just put the amt of media you need into the bag and put the whole bag into the basket.

By thw way, if the media you purchase doesnt come with the bag, they can be purchased seperately at all LFS....
