Hi everyone while cleaining my new tank i drop a screw driven in my tank and bottom surface in the center there s a 4 inc crack in length.

If i apply silicon all over the cracked area together wit it another glass on top of the cracked will it work????

PLS ADVICE...

i wud advise that u chg the tank altogether lah... Its a new one rite, so no livestks to wori abt ...

Main Tank : 48 inch by 36 inch by 28 inch (2 sides starphire glass)
Sump Tank :
Return Pump :

hi there bro mohank,

i do think that the crack can be sealed with another panel of glass sealed with silicon over the cracked area, plus some silicon on the actual crack itself, but as the other bros have mentioned, perhaps it might just be better to change the entire tank. you can take the tank to a tank maker and ask if they can change the bottom glass pane for you. they should be able to remove the silicon to dislodge the cracked panel, and then redo the tank with a new bottom panel.

how thin is your glass anyway? and how come so weird dimensions? custom ah?
