kudos for attempting such a DIY.

But i think as to how many ways of value will very much depend on how many "ports" you want your tank to have right?

Almost same as asking "how many powerheads should i be putting in my tank"?

how about the 2way valve, as 1 port blow another port suck..then switch over .This will creat alt. wave on the suraface, what i worry that some small fish might be suck into the port when it swim to near.

good DIY. u must able to access to CNC milling with CAM to machine all those parts. good works. anyway wat type of motor did u use? wat is the RPM?

i manage to find a 2.5 rpm motor. Will try to complete the project in this week, and do a trial test. thank for those comment.

i'm more interested about how you seal the joints esp the motor part, how can you rotate it but still keep the water in under pressure?
