How i did it ? I bought them when they were juvenile. Beginning always fight. Naturally, one will get to become dominant in size and the one will be small. The small is the male. It has been 2 years since I bought them. No spawning yet. Guess the environment is not suitable.

All clowns and damsels are extremely territorial. If they could live together, it's your good luck, otherwise avoid putting different species together unless you havea n extremely large tank (4 ft above and lots of hiding places like LR for the weaker ones).

i guess attempting to pair up young clowns by keeping them in transparent flow-thru containers in the same time beside each other could work, so they can get used to the whatever hormones and chemicals each other release. However, the stress of being kept in a small space and displaying to the other fish (like bettas) might cause either fish to fall sick though. :eyeblur:

Killerwhale, Glad to hear that you have a successful pairing of Golden Maroon Clown. Wish that someday you will have a batch of juveniles swimming around your tank.

I also like clown fish specially the Maroon clown, so after a thorough research on the internet.

These are the few website that I want to share.

hi, good to hear from so many maroon clown lover.

Oh ya, as mentioned earlier on, they begin to fight when I introduced both in the same tank. But they stop fighting after I introduce few normal clown to the tank. I believe their focus had changed and in fact, they combine their strength to attack the normal clown. Naturally, they pair off...... :D
