SRC Member Xtrader Posted May 9, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted May 9, 2006 There don't seem to have any conclusive report on which is a better salts. The Marine Enviroment 's report seem abit biais. Other than how quickly it disolved, how can you tell the performance of the salts? Please advice. Quote http://www.huatleow.com

SRC Member honzo Posted May 12, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted May 12, 2006 Marine environment salt dissolved damm fast. The best part is the little bottle, after adding in, boosting the mag quite a bit.

SRC Member patrick123 Posted May 13, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted May 13, 2006 Seems like a lot of people use coralife for SPS. wow... If it works, it save 3 times the money as it is 3 times cheaper than Tropic Marine.

SRC Member piero Posted June 10, 2008 SRC Member Share Posted June 10, 2008 Using Oceanic... Dissolves well and somehow I feel that the MG level is higher than ME that I used for awhile before switching back.
SRC Member TayHongSiang Posted October 17, 2008 SRC Member Share Posted October 17, 2008 Using Oceanic... Dissolves well and somehow I feel that the MG level is higher than ME that I used for awhile before switching back. Anybody tried Reefmax? Just curious. I used coralife...does not really dissolved easily, so i have to put a pump and run the water for 1-2days before using, but still see some remaining salt at the bottom. Think i will switch to tropic marin next month since the feedback is good. ME salt cannot find...AM got sell, but have to travel to Tg Katong. Using Marine Env now, so far so good ! Dissolve real fast. Hehehe,,,,this one i don't quite agree cos sometimes a product is expensive because of marketing and also product positioning. A lot of times, whether the product 'can' be expensive is dependent o the person who writes the bullshit description on the boxes. The better he can bullshit, the better the price. I am serious cos i know of one Boss in retail business who is involved in product development that told me this information. But of course the product must be decent to start with la. Must at least not give problems and must be genuine about the claims of ingredient percentage as these are easily measurable. Other than that, there are at least one thousand other aspects that makes or break a reef system so it is hard for anyone to fault the salt. Having said that, i am sometimes a sucker for the 'better' brands also because of the bullshit that is written on the boxes. my 2 cents worth
