Possible to balance the yellow from a 10k bulb?

Hi guys,

I accidentally bought the wrong temperature MH bulb. I'm was running 1 x 250W 20k BLV SE with 2 x 2ft 10k T5s.

But then I went out and bought a 10k BLV bulb by accident (sudden lapse of memory) and now my tank is horribly yellow.

Is it possible to balance off the yellow by swapping my 2 T5s with blue tubes instead? Or is 2 x T5s still not going to make the cut?

My tank is a 2.5ftx1.5ftx2ft

Hi Ervine-

I tried that before but the 2Xblue did not fully take out the yellow tinge. You will need more double? triple? X blue tubes to balance out to attain a crisp white.

But at least you can expect good growth. See if it grows on ya.

yeah that's what I thought also...

nvm I'll revert back to my 20k bulb lah.. I don't need that much juice coz I stopped keeping SPS....
