Fan position

I got myself a 6" AC fan for my 200L tank. Should I put it on top of my tank or sump? Any difference?

My tank dimension is 30"L X 20" W X 20"H

and sump dimension is 22"L X 10"W X 12"H

which position is better?

In my opinion, put on main tank. Why? The main tank needs the cooling. If put in sump, then when go through the return pump, heats up again.

Also, if fan is in main water, the evaporation rate also cools the water there.

if can put 2 fans lah, then both got cooling effect.

I tried putting in my sump b4 & its not really effective,temp always 1C higher than when I place it on main tank.

i put fan for my main tank..
