i have some question abt SE mh lighting.

only Iwasaki using mecury vapour ballast???

what about brand like BLV, AB, Hamilton, Radium, Ushio using high pressure sodium ballast?

for the ignitor,

i need to change ignitor if i change diff brand of bulb?.

The Iwasaki 6500K bulb is a MV bulb that ideally should be powered by a MV ballast but some people have used it on a MH ballast.

Assuming you are referring to the bulbs suitable for aquarium use by these manufacturers, then yes they will need a MH or HPS ballast.

You will need a different ignitor if the bulb you are changing to has a different igniting voltage.
