Waterfall sound from internal Overflow box

Hi all,

Need help to solve the waterfall noise create from the internal overflow box. I try to put the cotton wool to soften the waterfall impact from the main tank into the overflow box, but it is still very loud. Anyone have any good idea? Thks.

The noise comes from main tank into overflow tank, not into the pipe.

Too loud liao.

A bit of noise ok lah.

If can't sleep properly, don't think it will be good fengshui.

I had same issues before ;

1) I used filter wool to (smoothen the cascading sound) place on overflow lip

2) Also installed a "durso type " elbow, t-joint,

3) At the outlet end , I use a clean clear plastic bag-(recycled from trips to LFS) cut-off the end, held in place to outlet pipe by rubberbands which I change periodically.This help to reduce th gargling sound alot!
