Hi guys,

got a potter's some days back at Sealife from Peter. Told me the fella was definitely feeding on mysid. I asked him to try some but the fish didnt seem too interested. I hesitated for some time, as my first intent was to get the flame and i have always heard that potter's are one of the hardest to keep among the pygmies. But I told myself, "How often do you come across a fat healthy looking Potters that is ascertained to be feeding frozen mysis shrimp by the LFS?" Well, Peter didnt look much like a liar so took a chance and brought the pretty little thing home.

To date, besides foraging on the sandbed, rocks and among the macroalgae , the Potters hasnt sniff at a single thing I threw into the tank. I have tried - frozen brine, lobster eggs, wardley's total marine flake, nori. What else can I try? Any of you have a Potters that you wish to share your experience??Please do ! Thanks

Potter angel is not easy to keep ar. They require special diet consist of many different type of sponges. That's their main diet leh. No sponge for them to eat, they will strave to dead. You will notice the colour pattern start to fade off, the black line to be lighter, thats when they fish bid you farewell soon...kee..kee..

According to Raymond at supreme, potters are notoriously difficult to get to eat. But once they start, you'll be ok. That's what kept me off them so far.

Decided to get a golden angel instead but you know what? Damn thing has not been eating for the past 5 weeks it's been in my tank but hell it sure is eating something or it'd be dead! It's one of my fishes which hide in the bloody rocks all day, and I saw it pecking on my prized orange roti prata braom tpday!!! Damn frustrated with the bugger.
