Formula one pellets

Hi,

Been to a LFS and saw a bottle of Formula One Pellets. I know garlic juice is good to be mixed with pellets when you feed the fish to build up its immunity when its sick or treating them when it is struck with the ever so undesirable ICH! Well i decided to mix garlic juice to all my pellets when i feed my fishes daily to enhance their immunity. When i went down to the LFS the bottle of Formula one Pellet state that its already enriched with garlic in it. Does this mean its good enough or do i still need to purchase Garlicguard to mix with the pellets...

2)Whats the difference between Formula One Pellets and Formula Two?

if i am not wrong, the brand by oce*n nutri*ion should have 2 types of formula 1. With and without garlic.

For me, i bought the garlic type(more expensive) and it seem to work though

If you are going to mix your own garlic, try the other type, should be less than 10 dollars for a small sized bottle

Yea i cant remember the brand name but wld probably get the one with the garlic essense in it for better results...

I thought all Formula 1 or 2 pellets had garlic? I didn't know there was a choice, with or without garlic.

Anyway, Formula 1 is for carnivores, whereas Formula 2 is for the herbivores.

I also using garlic one but when finish i change to formula 1.. than too 2 again..Cause formula 1 more meaty!

Sorry to sidetrack abit, im using the Omega 1 pellet which contains garlic too....but its abit too big for small fishes....

The ocean nutrition one is at the right size for all fishes..even my damsels can eat it!!

The Omega ones are more suitable for fishes 2" up.....maybe i'll try the Formula 1/2. Do carnivorous fishes eat Formula 2?

Yeah its the ocean nutrition with the formula 1/2 tat i saw at the Lfs. Both are garlic enriched and it's really cheap at clementi 328. Good deals over there!

Say. if any fish develops ich... wld this formula 1/2 be enough to help in its recovery stages or its still necessary to add food pellets with Garlic Guard?

Qxnviolet: I don't think the fishes really care whether it's Formula 1 or 2. My tangs love them both. If you do get the Formula 1 or 2, make sure you buy the small pellets because they have the big pellets version as well.

vtech2: I am not sure whether the Garlic supplement in Formula 1 & 2 is sufficient in "curing" ich. If my fishes do ever go through a bout of ich, I usually extract the juice of chopped garlic and add that to mysid/brine shrimps.

Hmmm... guess its good to feed fishes with food enriched with garlic daily to build up their immunity system...But when ich breaks out (Touch wood Touch wood) then its best to feed them with garlic guard too for added protection....
