Minimalistic Anemone Tank

Hi,

My previous tank was done up hastily. So this time, I restarted my marine tank.

Here's my old "planted" marine tank :

And here's my newly restarted marine tank:

Left to right: Big white anemone with purple dots at the tip; small golden maroon clown; green plate coral; tiny sun coral fragment.

My 55W PL 10,000K just went dead! I'm thinking of replacing the PL tube, and/or the e-ballast; or maybe getting a new set of lights.

My LRs are in a pail now, because I'm not sure if I should put them into the new tank. I have some questions about my LRs here.

I am going to get my maroon clown a mate this weekend because his previous girlfriends died of ich while he didn't catch it!

I plan to get some colourful mushrooms since I want a "minimalistic" tank. Any suggestions?

I added two of my existing LRs into the tank since they have mushrooms and I fear that they may die if kept in a pail.

My lights came back to life today, for some unknown reason! So I took some photos.

The only fish in my tank! I'll get him a gf this weekend! Hehehe...

Bro, do you need a chiller amemonea? I used to keep one of those, but it keep moving from place to place, is it due to unstable water?

I don't think so. I read the temperature requirement of anemones and it's around 26 degrees. I can achieve this with a fan. Best is to get a chiller in the long run.

for get to say something.. The last time i paired my maroons...It Took forever to get my female to like a suitable male...i mean i changed up to 4 males.. and she only accepted the last one..errr quite irritating!

Since I can't find a bigger golden maroon clown, I thought I could buy a small one and mate with my existing medium-sized golden maroon clown. I got this tiny fish from the ah bengs at $$8.00.

After 2 days it finally goes accepts the anemone.

The original maroon was taken out and isolated because he was terrorizing the newcomer. I'll try my best to make peace between them!

Here's my brown tang after weeks of entering my tank. I didn't take any shots of it earlier because it was suffering from marine ich, like most tangs do!

Here's my sailfin tang which is still suffering from marine ich. Initially the brown tang terrorized this newcomer (see the torn fins ) but after a while they stopped fighting.

The ich is getting better as I perform freshwater dips daily. I'll post more pictures of them later. I love tangs!

Got tang shots but no tank shots for now, coz it is in a mess. I got a huge submersible pump in my tiny 2 feet tank. Ugly.
