snail releasing white cloudy liquid

Dear reefers,

One of my snails shoot out white cloudy liquid earlier and my 4 ft tank was cloudy for a while.

Anyone has this encounter before? whats this liquid?

Its not snail shit as I have seen them shit before..

most probably sperms or eggs depending on the ###### of the snail of cos.

in biological terms..means they are spawning..

dont think its much harm to the corals and fishes..

if im not wrong..its added food for the corals

the cloudiness should go away in awhile if u r using a good skimmer and having good filtration media

yup no big issue... strange though my snails seem to have stopped doing that for some time now...
