hi guys, hope to get some info on these:

1)does yuma prefer strong or less strong light? (150W?, 250?)

2)does it prefer higher or lower colour temp... like lps and sps generally prefer lower while softies can do well with higher colour temp

3)Current flow?

If I am not wrong,

yuma would prefer lower lights such as placed lower in a tank,

as for colour temp. I don really know bout their preferrences(so maybe wait for others to reply)

and they woudl prefer low to moderate water flow.

Don't skim too much and don't use too much carbon if not you will be starving the poor yuma.

oh dear

i'm using beckett now

to maintain the water for lps...how can i make a comprimise between lps clean water and yuma less clean water?

any ideas bro fuel?

I have yumas growing on the sand bed directly under 150W 10000K MH and also in a nano tank under 36w PL tubes - both sets of yumas seem to be doing equally well. Reef tank has high current flow whilst the nano has low-medium current flow.

Both tanks share the same water, which is skimmed using a beckitt. Am also using a FR with activated carbon and phosguard. We feed the LPS with a mixture of phytoplankton, zooplankton and cyclopeze mixed up, every two or three days.

So, I am not sure that lighting is all that critical. More likely water quality and sufficient food in the water.

Real reefs don't have glass bottoms....(...think about it)
