What will happen if the Chiller input and output is swap?

Just bought a new chiller 1 wk ago and i just discovered last nite that the installation man had connected my chiller pump to the chiller outlet and the inlet used as outlet.

Will this caused damage to the thermostat? :o

huh! like that also can :ooh:

personally i don think it'll spoil the thermostat. but if the chiller cut in & out too frequent will shorten the compressor life span if the sensor probe is sensing output water instead of input from the tank.

did it kick in & out frequently?

Ya, agree with Anglefish. Happen to me also because the lable on the inlet and outlet was swapped. Because of this swap, the temp sensor was sensing the temperature of the outlet of cooling coil. As you can imagine, the temperature became very unstable. Hence, the compressor was cutting in and out very often, like every 2 minutes! Once I swap the lines (ensure the thermocouple is sensing the inlet into the chiller), everything works fine!

HTH.
