Lighting for SPS

Like to make a survey of the following:

(1) What form of lighting you use for your SPS corals;

(2) The ratio of light:dark hours you employ;

(3) Do you use a dimmer?

(4) What other inverts or fish do you keep with your SPS?

hi there synanceia,

my display is 2.7 by 1 by 1 ft, with a 4 by 1 ft sump.

lighting is provided by 5 x 39w HO-T5 with four ATi aquablue special tubes and one Aquaz Blue Pro tube.

lights on from 10am to 10pm daily. rest of the time dark.

i'm planning to DIY some night lights, but thats not up yet.

present fish population: one ocellate deagonet and one yellow spotted boxfish.

ok slightly off topic here but I am considering to use 6 tubes of t5-HO lights 54 watts for my Mixed Reef Tank Including SPS and was told that is more then enough light actually.

I'm currently using 3-400W HQI ballast- Megachrome 13K with 2 160W VHO Super Actinic[uRI] ~ 12" off the surface water. The MH's are on simutaneously for 8-9 hrs, the VHO's for 12hrs. I do not use dim cycles & my reefs houses a few LPS/Xenias. Bob

i am using 2x250W (8 hours) + 5x39W HO T5 (12-13 hours) for my mixed-reef tank
