But does anyone have sun corals with more polyps? Or different color? a ) If so, how many polyps has yours? b ) And how much do you think yours is worth? c ) Also, what color is yours? Orange? Black? Green? Pink? d ) Which color is the more rarer and expensive one? Pls post pictures if possible.

SRC Member Frosflame Posted December 30, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted December 30, 2005 I have a piece with 38 orange polyps on one side and 13 yellow polyps on the other. Total of 51 polyps though the entire piece measures no larger than a clenched fist. The yellow ones are larger while the orange is smaller. Funny thing is the 2 colours open at different timings/conditions. The orange side opens whenever feeding ocurs. The yellow side opens consistantly after lights out and require strong currents to open. Remember the bottle thingy, Once in the slower flow rate of the bottle enclosure, the yellow side failed to open dispite feeding, once the cover is removed, it opens after lights out even when no feeding took place.
