hi all

how much light would i need for mushrooms? coz i got quite a few frags of yumas on my LR the other day. lol. damn cheap also.

<-------- just see how happy i am lol

i cant really tell the color tho. its light brownish under white light. green yumas perhaps?

would 55W pl be enough? maybe those with half white n half artinic blue? my tank is only bout a feet deep, maybe a few inches more.

yours sincerely,

jon.

What i feel abt actinic would be they dont really promote growth in coral just viewing pleasure.

If your ricodea yumas are stretching out for light or turning white , itis a tell tales sign that lights arent enough..

Then maybe u could move them higher.

Maybe u could stated how deep ur tank is .

A 55watts PL would be just enough for yuma but hope the PL tube is made for marine uses and not those normal daylight .. :)

How do u tell the tubes are for marine or not. by the no. of K? If so, how to I know the K as the tube itself doesn't show. My light is from the brand CR 2 x 55 watts (one white one blue). It only mention something like T4, something about the hertz etc?

Thks.

wan,Oct 3 2003, 08:02 PM] i use one of ur lights, my mushroom are growing well, the yuma at the top opens until it covers those at the bottom , now the bottom one stretching like hell lol, any solution or let nature take its course

When they start to show signs of stretching it clearing means that either u are placing them too deep in ur tank or ur lights arent enough..

But if u like yumas or floridea , i would suggest T5 if u dont have MH ...
