Coppersafe V.S Live Rocks

Greeting Reefers,

I just want to find out what's your advise if I put "half" the recommended dose of Coppersafe into my FOWLR tank. Will it affect my live rock? Please advise on this for those who has tried.

Any copper added will turn your LR into dead rocks, copper is very toxic and makes no difference is 1/2 the recommended dosage (usually recommended dosage is around 0.5mg/l). 50% recommended dosage is 0.25mg/l and that is sufficiently high enuff to kill the marine velvet but insufficient to kill the ich parasite.

Suggest you dose copper in a QT instead.

How abt marine trace by seachem - for fish only ( has the logo of a lion fish on the bottle). I noticed that it contains very little percentage of copper, will it hurt the live rocks too or prevent at coralline algae from growing? Mine is a FOWLR tank btw, thanks.

The copper content on that product is very very low.
