question on this bubble coral

Is this bubbles suppose to be this small..or is it not fully expanded?

1st time have bubble corals so not so sure...

The bubble u have there is a pearl bubble. This type normally does not expand very large unlike those cat-eye bubbles. It should be fine as long as they dun shrivel up and expose their skeleton.

try to feed them with live small pieces of prawn meat...thet will like it.. this piece of bubble have not expand yet. if expand it will be big...

ya... they usually feed at nite or when no lights (mine are like that...depend on which come first) i fed them with brine or mysis (frozen)...with flow or at times..target...

Where do you guyz place ur bubbles?

I have one that place in the middle of my tank (2ft height)...the part that is hit by direct light (10k T5 HO) seems to be showing skeleton the other side facing away is doing fine but the the entire piece seems to loose it's coloration...

I dose Iodine & stronium. Target feed them with mkt prawn but no improvement.

Can you guys help, please....

can I noe what are the original colours of your bubble? like, green, white or brown?

mine is actually near the top of my tank under T5-HO lights.

however I think it depends of the nature of their colourations, like for example, brown type prefer less light whereas white and green flourscent type prefers higher intensity lightings, like mine is a green flourscent bubble.

Exactly the same as the one posted by samchenz.... now being lime green instead of emerald green.

Been feeding it with market prawn, grew bigger bubbles but color same same... faded...

My bubble in placed under direct 150w MH and in direct flow of current and it loves it.

I notice it get's bigger everytime the MH comes on. I feed it small pieces of market prawn on a regular basis like every alternate day.

be careful of your surrounding elephant ear & cup coral...when the bubble expands it may stings them !

Sorry to hijack this thread, but my frogspawn and bubble gets v close together when both are expanded fully....any caution i should take? Will they sting each other?

do not put them too close, else they sting one another and u will get a casualty soon when both expands
