Wood stain cabinet

as far as i know, wood stain works by being differentially absorbed by the grain in the wood...., if you stain a formica (ie. plastic) laminate, then i doubt you'll be able to get the effect you want...

UNLESS, your laminate is actually veneer, which is an thin piece of wood.. that might work.. ;) hope it helps... i'm not expert, but that's what i think

you could try to paste another laminate over the current one, if it's still secure... that's what i'm intending to do with mine :) probably sometime in january. If you want, we can go check out the laminates tog... it's my first time too, so i don't know if it'll work out.

The other option, available to both of us, is to strip the laminate off, sand it down, get all glue off hte wood, and then dye it and varnish it :)
