SRC Member cityofangels Posted December 22, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted December 22, 2005 The common ones found are the frozen mysid shrimps. And they can be found at any LFS for about $2-2.50 per tray of about 30 cubes. If I remember, the brand is Hikari.

SRC Member coralreef Posted December 23, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted December 23, 2005 Mysis has more nutrition than brine shrimp...and brine shrimp is more like tibits for fishing. SRC Member cityofangels Posted December 23, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted December 23, 2005 Newly hatched brine shrimp are higher in nutritions due to the york sac which they still carry. Once they grow bigger, the york sac is used up. After this stage, they're like fast food to fishes. The fishes still love it though!

SRC Member Marineman Posted December 23, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted December 23, 2005 how to differentiate mysis and brine shrimp?? as far as i know, brine shrimp is not favourable for marine livestock rite ? Mysis is white in colour and brine is reddish. Brine shrimp has little or no nutritional value. You can find them in most LFS in Spore. If you cannot find them, then uses finely chopped prawns will be good enough.
