Just to clarify, I am looking for test pen type of tester running on batteries. I understand there are already some like the Pinpoint which needs power supply and can use as constant monitoring.

I just want a simpler test pen type which I just put into water and get instant readings...

2 Feet Tank: (Decom Feb 2015)
-Lightings : Pharos LED light 90W with wireless controller
-Chiller : Arctica 1/10HP with H2Ocean Flow Pump 2000
-Wavemaker : Vortech MP10ES

I have used the Digilab before and fine it quite reliable until the batteries are running low. I have revert back to refractometer as I find it a hassle to get replacement batteries.

I have used the Digilab before and fine it quite reliable until the batteries are running low. I have revert back to refractometer as I find it a hassle to get replacement batteries.

What type of replacement battery? Like watch battery?

I think it's the watch battery type but JBJ has discontinued this product. Want also can't buy

Just received my digital Salinity tester. Looks good and well built. It's made in Korea.

Able to get me Salinity results almost instantly but the reading on temperature takes about 10secs to stabilize.

Good buy! :)

Haha no lah, just that I saw many of their items on promo and when I asked for discount they gave me a take it or leave it attitude. They even told me, 'anyway this is the last piece we have now'

any update?

So far so good, the readings are quite good. Just that I'm a little too noob. When I get 1.025 on my pinpoint salinity this test meter is 1.023. Dunno which one is not calibrated. No time to test it out.
