Help in getting started...

Hi all,

I have the following:

- skimmer

- chiller

- tank

- pump

- lighting

- cannister

a) What else do i require?

Do I require a Sum tank since i have the cannister??

c) Is the overflow system important? I suspect i cant drill my tank as it is not made of glass.

Pls help as i wish to set up the marine tank asap. If possible, avoid to change to a new tank.

-in my honest opinion..a sump tank will be better and save u time from upgrading as u continue in the hobby..

there are many advantage of using a sump tank as a filtration method..

(eg. Refugium Area,Equipments Storage Space......)

thanks.. but does it mean i have to switch to another tank for the overflow system since i am unable to drill any holes. is there any other methods to create an overflow system?

darkie73: YES!..u can use get an "overflow box" from one of our sponsors or u can try your technical skills by DIY-ing yourself!..

pretty simple..im using an overflow box too..
