Need help on skimmer

Hi all, i got one question on skimmer. I got one Weipro skimmer 2011 and i try to test out this skimmer with suitable pump. I use a dymax 2000 l/h on this skimmer how ever it only produce large and few bubbles. This also happen when i try using md40. it is becos the water i use is fresh water?

You are right. You can't get fine bubbles from fresh water.....

the skimmers we get here are not suitable for freshwater. If you need a skimmer for fresh water, you need to get those stated for freshwater, but I think they just incorporate an ozoniser to try to bridge the gap for the bubble size.

yepz, you can't get good bubbles in fresh water. haha.

i tried it myself, and i was like "OMG, the bubbles are so huge!!!"

thanks for all the reply. Now i feel better cos i m building this 2.5 feet tank for a friend. I feel so pai seh when i test the skimmer using fresh water. At first using the dymax eph 2000 doesn't have fine bubbles tot i mis calculate the flowrate then change to the pressure rate md40 the same thing happen.
