I don't understand what's up with the the bloody secrecy that photos and details cannot be posted for this sale

Moderators should delete all sales thread with insufficient details. In fact someone should set up a standard format for sales. Those questionaire type that will disqualify entry if the proper blanks are not filled or ticked. Error message will be prompted over and over till poster gets all details filled.

Tank sales format should go like that:

1)Tank Dimensions:

L_ x B_ x H_ (inches)

2) Thickness:

_ cm

3) Sump dimensions

L_x B_ x H_

4) Period of use:

_ months

5) cabinet

(tick the relevant)

Hi guys, i'm new in this forum... but i may be not new in marine hobby, i'm goin to move house in the coming month and i decide to decommisioned my 2yrs set up. One reefer tell me to check out this forum if you i want to sell my set-up... But after posting my 1st thread to sell my tank.... i encounter all sorts of comments etc.... no hard feeling for the rest... but this will be my last post in this forum... leaving me a bad impression for this forum... anyway the tank is sold, not from a reefer here...

I guess i have to agree with Somebody/ Andy sentiments on hoping that no one else should be hurt with such experiences.

Basically, alot of us here, have only 1 common goal and that is to express and share our love for this hobby be it good or bad, i hope that we can exchange these ideas amongst each other to further gain knowledge and grasp more experience in keeping our stocks alive.... i think i'm speaking for all the rest when i say this.

Hopefully, all of us here can be more patient with each other so that such instances don't work.

Anyways, Mr HaTeMe i'm still a plankton when it comes to experience even though i joined this forum quite sometime back.

That's the main problem here my friend....ur right, u do have a point about sticking to a proper format etc when conducting a sale...but people will always have the right to choose. If they choose not to do it, then it's more their loss than it would be the buyers loss...or urs for the matter....

Besides, why should it tick you off at all? It's not your thread...it's not your sale...it's not even your intention to buy it...there really isn't a need to be rude. And by sounding the way you did, you're only asking for a confrontation....it would almost appear as if you were looking for one.

As right as you may be....there has to be some level of tact when dealing with issues...especially electronically when words are so easily misread.

At the end of the day....limsteel does have a point....it would be up to the mods to decide if this thread is unfit to be kept "alive"...if you have suggestions on how to improve it..i'm sure they're more than happy to listen but taking the course of action you chose to take doesn't help anyone...it offends ppl and it causing conflict where conflict is unnecessary.

So bottom line....chill a lil will ya....and try and practice a lil tact at times....

It has never been my intention to practice tact, but that should change from now .

I will act as some kind of police and go around being a nosey parker. I will give my opinions should i feel that there are irregularities in sales related issues.

I started on a wrong footing and it will be easier for me to set another nick to start all over again..but i choose not to. Instead, I will try to redeem myself by being more polite and objective in my comments. I should be recognized as a reliable commentator and my comments on sales should in time be taken seriously.

I will not,however, try to be too cordial or mince my words so much that the intended message is eluded.
