What algae is this

Any one know what plant is this?

Will it reduce NO3 effectively?

Will it go asexual and melt, and release NO3 and PO4 back to the tank again?

that looks like what I have in my refugium... it's the only macro algae that worked for me and has worked for me for 2yrs or so already, usually doubling in mass every 1-2weeks...

has never gone asexsual on me even though I don't run the refugium 24/7... how effective it is I don't know but just based on the fact that it doubles in mass every week or 2 I would think it's pretty darn effective...

as to what specificially it is.. i THINK it's a type of small leaf caulepra... mine even had tiny "grapes" before...

Mine turn pale green after i off the light. Do it means it go asexsual?

got it from a fish shop in pasir ris

$5 per rock round hand full size

i am NOT running 24/7 btw... using a 36W 6500k PL light on em... as to how I got mine... eh.. I think they hitchhiked their way into my refugium, seriously I didn't buy it, they just somehow found their way there...
