Ok Here's the update. Whoever invented Rowaphos I love you a lot. PO4 went down to 0 today..My calcium Reactor finally works 410 ppm calcium!!..things are looking good. Last but not least this is the final lifestock roll call...after excluding KIA, MIA

1 Fire Clown, 1 Indian FoxFace(L) , 1 Flame Angel(L) 1 Yellow Tang (L), Cleaner shrimps x3, 2 dispar Anthias, 3 purple queen anthias, 3 fire goby, 7 green chromis

2 Kole Tang, 1 Brown Tang (XL), 4 Zebra Neon Chinese Goby, 1 Blue Tang

This is my fourth Flame Angel BTW..Never seem to have much luck. But anyway I just realise that with lower PO4, red colour seems to emerge in the tank among my corals...I also did some adjustment in terms of Coral locations...hope to make them expland bigger. Really proud of my Torch coral...

Lastly this entire tank exprience has cost me $7444... WHat are your thoughts? Is it good money paid for aa good hobby or money down the drain ? :(

My NO3 reading this morning at about 9.50 am . Daylight..outside my window

I gave it a 2 ppm. PO4 is zero. Ca about 410. Dosed Magnesium two cupfuls this morning. One thing I notice is that my ORP readings have been averaging at about 348..up from 312.. My conclusion, if you reduce PO4 in the tank, ORP climbs higher and tank inhabitants open up. Torch and pratas opening up much bigger. I am trying to get the red back in my lobo. Will let you know of latest developments.

Dear All,

It is with sadness that I inform that a major catastrophe happened. I was away on a trip to Shanghai when my maid fed my fish with the wrong food. (Yes it is Henry's old fish foodm which I kept in a remote corner of a fridge but had not thrown away)... My tank stanked severly.. NO3 skyrocketed to close to 100 pmm, ORP dropped to 133 !!! ..Lost almost ALL of my fish..except for my Magnificent fox face, 3 cleaner shrimps, Blue tang, 3 neon zebra and 1 Kole tang...sob sob sob

I flushed out 50% water and did a major KIA retrival of all dead fish. Luckily all corals still alive and well..

To top it up my RM CR broke into two. I called Joe P and will meet up with him tommorrow. Question - why is it major catastrophe must and will happen when you are away? I will be leaving for Korea this Sunday, so I am bracing myself for the worst... Attached below is the picture of my water afetr I cleaned it..It was cloudy and quite stinko when I came back.

My tank parameters for today

Temp 25.2

ORP 341

KH 13.1 KH 4.69 meq/l

Ca 0.34 330 (broke the arm of the CR)

PO4 0.02 (Phosban working)

NO3 25-30 ppm (will call Mr seawater tommorrow to do a 100% flushing)

ORP 341 mv

To make myself feel better, I got myself a Tunze 6000 turbelle stream. Now I can make waves...Low tide, and high tide up to 6 hours interval. Can see that the Torch and plate corals love to dance in the wave.. The entire Turbelle streams with multicontroller cost about $1200...* shucks!!* but what to do? a man needs his turbelle right?...well dats it for equipment purchases. In my tank I have the following equipment

1) Complete Turbelle stream (6100,6000) and multicontroller

2) Milwakee ORP controller connect to Hailea Ozoniser

3) Tunze 9010 protein skimmer

4) Aquamedic Phosban with 1 kg Rowaphos

5) Reef Maniac with Calcium Reactor

6) 9V Ultra Violet connected to Resun CL650

7) Aquamedic 400 L Denitrator

8) 2 150V MH 20 K bulbs

9) Full sump with biological and mechanical filtration

Any suggestions what you think may be lacking?

Dear All,

Been very busy lately. Here is my lastest entry into what is happeninning in my reef world. I believe in letting the pictures do the talking. BTW I have added an extra 30 kg of liverocks and had done a rescape of my tank. My lifestock now inclused 1 clown tang, 1 bristletang, 2 purple tangs, 5 type of gobies (randall, tiger, yellow) 3 chinese neon goby, 2 firefish, 1 true percula clown fish. My emphasis is still a reef tank and plenty of space for fish to swim above. Nothing beats seeing the dorsal fins of my big clown tang flapping and seeing him cruising the full length of my 5 feet tank :) . Below the pic is my tank as it is viewed from the front. As you can notice by cabinet is now black. I have pasted a plastic wood like vinyl covering over the brown laminate. This is to blend in my dining room decor. (Wifey request). You can see the turbelle 6100 and what is great from up close is that coralline is growing on the magnetic holders and sidewalls. This means water is good and tank is maturing. Me very happy :). Enjoy the followng pics and as usual feedback please.
