To the new reefers. If you are interested to know why my water looks non-existent and fishes are floating, it has to be the power of Ozone. I'd like to share with you on this topic if you are keen. Do let me know. Below are my yumas, mushroom corner, Glue them using cyanobacteria based super glue. It works better than Epoxy FIx...

RIght hand side. Centre you can see ,yellow gono, Really striking,,,you can also see the massive Tunze 6100.. No choice cannot hide it...so what to do ?Was hoping to mask it behind rocks...but it does a great job in ticking off detritus from sand bed even at this height. So here is a case where performance takes precedence over aesthetics,

Ok this is my tank form the left hand side... I designed my tank to be clutter free and maintenance easy..Most of the live rocks dont rest on the tank wall. In fact there's about 2-3 inches of space between life rock and tank wall. This would make it easier for me to extricate dead fish and prevent escallating nitrate.

I love the power of the Tunze stream and in such a reef configuration it can blow through the rocks easily and detritus can plunge into my overflow...located in the centre..(In my next posting I will discuss why overflow box with dursol pipes are potential Nitrate factories). This is sure to hit some raw nerve...Anyway again these are my 2 cents worth...

My tank is designed for easy mainteance. I do a lot of gravel pushing and clearing of detritus. I like to keep my 1 inch sand bed clean and pristine. I love to create caves, tunnels. It gives plenty of space for my bigger fish to sleep and in the day time good hiding places for the smaller guys. I like to see fish swimming at the surface.

BTW I stay in the central part of Singapore...near IKEA, Queensway. I wooud be happy to have your company if you are keen to know more about my tank and my pohilosophy on marine aquariums. :)

So in my next postings, I will discuss more on my maintenance philosophy. Again I welcome all feedback and comments

OK I have been suffering from brown algae. So I bought two Kole Tangs. They really eat up the alga but still I need to bring PO4 as it reaching 0.3 already..I fear fo my corals. My conclusion is that my two Resun 500 is not working. So broke the bank and get myself the ultimate. Aquamedic Phosban. Yipee!!

OK these are my two amigos who have been sleeping on the job. Finally extricated them out. The second resun is filled with $63 of brand new Rowaphos and still PO4 is high. Problem is that water doesnot fully circulate lar...So the inverted system of AquaMedic I hope can do the trick

Took out the default antiphos supplied and loaded close to 800 grams of Rowaphos + Aquamedic Antiphos Fe + little bit charcoal at the end. Wow quite heavy man the entire arm.. but looking good. I got my old 580 ml/h Rena pump to do the trick of feeding this new bugger.
