outbreak of tiny snails!!

Recommended Posts

yep, they are...

=( how??

dun worry 2 much....... euplica scriptas r good algae grazers. if u find u hv 2 many of them, u can always harvest the adult euplicas and give them away.

that's what i used to do. ;)

Snails grow their own shells..they don't take over shells from other creatures like what hermit crabs do. As to control them, maybe you can try a small wrasse or if your tank is large maybe a mandarin. Newly hatched snails don't have very hard shells. Or you could always harvest the eggs before they hatch and sell them as soon as they hatch to mandarin keepers.

kewl... didn't know that... haha.. thnk a mandarin might be quite happy in my tank then. got soooo many

Hmm..consider a mandarin only if your tank is large, if not you'll have to worry about weaning it when the snails run out..
