Anyone here using this with good result? Heard someone has been using this and did not change water for a long long time without problem.

It comes in a small white block. Selling like 3 or 4 for $10.

It is suppose to do the below as stated in the instruction:

"Restores and maintains the concentration of calcium, strontium and all trace elements at the same levels found in the sea, automatically. Formula #28 always works, and cannot be overdosed. This is not a slow-dissolve or time-release product. It dissolves only to replace depleted elements"

Personally, I have used 2 boxes but have not seen any significant changes. But I know of quite a few reefers who have reported enhanced growth of coraline algae after using this product.

I believe the primary purpose is for replenishing the trace elements. There are other similar products from sealabs, that maintains/restores other water parameters.

I do not think it can maintain nitrate level. Personally, i think it is more for replenishing calcium, strontium and all trace elements if ur nitrate level is low and you do not change water so often. Espically FOWLR where we dont change water so much.

When i started with two cubes, i notice they dissolve really fast, but subsequently now that the elements r replenished, the cube dissolve much slower.

I believe, these elements are used up as well by the coraline algae and some other substance in the tank. Over time, if the water are not change, the water "age". For FOWLR, it is ok for fish that had been always there as the change was gradual and they get use to it. But if you were to introduce new fish, the LS usually get a big shock and die in a few days. That is what i notice, not necessarily it is a fact. Just my 2cent .

I started off with 2cubes and they dissolve within 3days. On my 3rd cube, it took like a week. Now on my 4th cube and it has been more than a week and it is half dissolve.

Hm.. the position where you place the white block also important. If you place it under strong flow area, the block dissolve real fast & vice versa.

just share from experience. However, i dun see any extensive growth of "ang kong kong" algea lar :D after used up 1 box supply.

i am religiously use this Sealab...

Coraline do grow..... in the first phrase.

However now start to become "stagnant" no progress...

After however i still believe in doing water changes.. (but too lazy) never do water change for 3 months...nitrate around 5-10

I am just an average FR (fish reefing) writer. If you like my FRs, please upz my points.
