Mini bottled reefs

Hi everyone.

I just want to know would you accept the idea of a bottled reef?

The reef has no living creatures ofcourse.Reef is made from dead corals

(very tiny type)Im currently working on 1 and i will be showing some pics.THE corals do not rot as they have already turned into rocks and are very fragile

Do you think it would be a good idea of collecting mini reefs

I name it...MINIac REEFS

Ok since no reply...i think its not a good idea...i was actually thinking of

providing these things at the end of year sch carnival.....for a token to raise fund for the needy.

perhaps you can show us one of your creation?

Since it is made up of dead corals, superguled to the base, then filled with sand and plain water then bottled tight (so no leakage) perhaps put inside some LEDs, or even put a small water pump so that the things can move inside hmmmmm...

quite interesting although no living things inside?

give it a try and show us a picture soon.

i dunno how to help you. first go edit your post. then open that photo in paint. from what i heard, it can be resized there.

And not to mention mines not waste..i dun pick up from the garbage...

I pick it up from nature........

Im better than the ART attack guy whom really uses waste...

I tried that when I was little ... eventually, all died. That was when I was little and without the knowledge on reef keeping ... Even though when i'm learn more now (not expert, though), i dun have the confidence to keep them. They will end up dead as well...

But thereagain, really a good gesture and thoughts of u coming up with ideas to raise funds. seriously, think the idea isn't a bad one. But ur pics did not reveal a full pic. therefore quite difficult to comment further

Erm, will be better if u can make the corals smaller?? By cutting them up or what.. cause from what i see.. its just like a bottle with dead corals stuffed inside then fill with water. Not presentable enough. Maybe using colored sands might make it more attractive?? Just my comments.

fill it with alcohol instead of water . then squeeze a clownfish and a baby blue tang .
