Hi all my name is samier and i am from South Africa, JHB, Florida. been a year in marine. I belong to a forum in my country which is called sareefkeeping. i hope to learn plenty from u guys. does anybody know FKadir his in marine and stays in singapore.

well anyway could you guys give me any insight to stting up a refugium. and can u tell me about dazs t5 lighting is it any good

Hi welcome aboard, DAS T-5 are not really good here, u can try D&D or Aqualight which is much better...

Btw any GEM Tang in ur tank??

The Key about refugium is that you got to have alot of macroalgae, i guess??

if talking about DSB... u gotta have a wide surface area... with water flowing slowly over it.... thats the key.... and maybe some Porous LRs so that pods can grow???

can't help u much with dazs t5 lighting. But I endorse Aquaz.

Thanks guys, yep i will be setting up a 3 ft sump/refugium. this 1st column will house the skimmer and heater, 2nd column will be the largest as i want to put a DSB,caulopa, LR.3rd column will have the return pump(how many x per hr must the water be turned over). The main tank will be a 5ft.
