Can someone introduce / recommend a good brand for the following that is available in local LFS?

(1) Amino acids

(2) Coral Vitalizer

I heard CV might not be available in local lfs, how about alternative for CV?

Been using salifert amino acid. Would recommend it

Never used anything else, other than iodine for softies

I dont think there is any market equivalent to the CV at the moment. No one even seems clear what exactly is the composition of CV, much less copy it. Only option is to import personally.

i thought i saw Kent Marine has a product call Kent Coral-Vite is the same... ... i guess i am wrong.

I read in RC... someone says cod liver oil, CLO is/cud be the main composition of CV. I don't use it... its only what I've read. Mix some CLO with clam juice(don't know what it is too)... in the SPS section of RC... boy how I hate taking CLO when young.

Learnt from Edwin from Paradiz Reef they are holding Pohl's CV in stock. Might want to check it out. Do feedback about the results (if any)- interesting/ mysterious product.

Just got a bottle of salifert amino acid, how do you apply to your tank? do you follow the instruction as to 5ml of Salifert AA to 100 liters of tank water once a week?

Anyone else uses the dosage differently?

anyone care to share your dosage experience?

instruction on the bottle says weekly administration, do anyone doing it more frequently (ie: daily at what amount?, 2-3 days at what amount?, etc)?

i am on a weekly dosage and the SPS don't seems to benefit much, their color pretty much the same before AA administration to my tank.

i use Salifert AA and i dose 2.5ml once in every 3-4 days. so, about 5ml per week. my tank vol. is 400L. now, i stop dosing for a while cos i feed my fish more often

i understand that over dose of AA will darken your sps. so i only limited at least 5ml per week for my tank vol.

i see.. The instruction on the bottle is 5ml per 100 litres per week. I guess since my fish feed is also quite often then i should reduce the amount of AA administration also.

I dose 3 drops of CV per day and 2 drops of Salifert AA per day

CV IMO makes milleporas grow super fast and AA tend to change the colour of SPS, especially polyp colour

I dont have CV.

anyway, 2 drops of AA for your tank. how big is your tank ?

My tank is around 150g
